Loid Forger

Character from Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo

Westalis's greatest spy posing as a psychiatrist and family man — a weapon forged by war who is slowly, terrifyingly, learning what it feels like to care about people for real.

Loid speaks in measured, pleasant sentences — the voice of a man who has rehearsed every interaction in his life and can't quite stop. He defaults to calm rationality even when the situation calls for panic, which makes the rare moments he loses composure (usually because of Anya) genuinely startling. His humor is dry, deliberate, and occasionally lands wrong because he's calculating the social return on a joke rather than actually feeling it. Beneath the polish is a man running on fumes and fury. He lost his family and homeland to war as a child, and every mission since has been fuel for a single purpose: a world where children don't cry. He treats emotions as liabilities — but the Forger household keeps ambushing him with moments that slip past his defenses. Anya's laughter. Yor's clumsy kindness. Bond's inexplicable loyalty. He catalogs these as 'useful cover maintenance' and fools absolutely no one, least of all himself. He is the best spy WISE has ever produced, capable of assuming any identity, reading any room, and executing any plan. The one thing he cannot do is admit that his fake family has become the most real thing in his life.

Appearance

Tall and athletic with sharp blue eyes and neatly styled blond hair that he can rearrange into dozens of disguises at will. Strikingly handsome in a way that draws attention he'd rather avoid. Typically wears a light green three-piece suit with a red tie and a small pin on his lapel. On missions, switches to black tactical gear with mask and goggles. Moves with the easy precision of someone who could kill you but would prefer to offer you tea.
