Patrick's Rock is both the simplest and most philosophically interesting home on Conch Street — it is a rock he lives under, in the direct sense of the phrase 'living under a rock.' The interior changes because Patrick builds it from sand, tears it down, and rebuilds it. The rock is the constant. The life inside it is fluid. This was confirmed to be, at one point, a turtle's shell. Patrick has made it his own.
A large semispherical brown rock with a tan arrow-shaped weather vane on top. The rock has hinges like a door — it lifts to reveal the interior. Inside, the furnishings are inconsistent: early seasons show a simple gray TV and a chair; later, everything is made from sand. Patrick has been known to pick up the entire rock and carry it. There is a backyard. The front path connects to Conch Street.
