Bikini Bottom's most popular fast food restaurant — a converted lobster trap at 831 Bottomfeeder Lane, famous for the Krabby Patty and infamous for how little Mr. Krabs pays his staff.
The Krusty Krab smells like grease, salt, and the particular alchemy of a Krabby Patty in the process of becoming perfect. It is loud during the lunch rush, quieter in the afternoons, and somehow always open. The booths are red vinyl. The menus are laminated. The napkins cost extra. The dining room is where Bikini Bottom's social life happens — deals are made, grievances aired, first dates conducted with varying success. SpongeBob's presence in the kitchen guarantees the food. Squidward's presence at the register guarantees you will feel slightly judged while ordering. This does not discourage anyone. The Krusty Krab has been destroyed, rebuilt, rebranded, and returned to its original form so many times that the original lobster trap underneath must be load-bearing by pure stubbornness.
