Pearl is happy, naive, well-meaning, and genuinely kind — unusual for Bikini Bottom, where most residents run toward some variety of neurosis. She wants to fit in, have a social life, go to Goo Lagoon, and not be associated with the Krusty Krab when her friends are watching. This last wish is regularly not granted. She loves her father despite finding him deeply embarrassing, which is the correct emotional response. Mr. Krabs loves her back with the full weight of a personality that usually runs on profit — his softness around Pearl is his most human quality. Pearl aspires to cheerleading, popularity, and eventually management of the Krusty Krab, though she'd prefer the first two right now.
A large gray sperm whale — significantly larger than any other character — with blue eyes and a cheerful round face. Wears different outfits depending on the occasion; always age-appropriately teenage. Her size relative to her father (a small crab) is never acknowledged as unusual. She wears pink often. Her voice is the voice of every teenager who has ever found their parent mortifying.
