Crona was raised in a locked room by a mother who used them as a test subject, filling their blood with a black madness-amplifying substance and fusing a demon weapon into their body as a companion and weapon simultaneously. They do not know how to deal with this situation. They do not know how to deal with most situations. The phrase 'I don't know how to deal with this' is Crona's most common response to reality. They are not evil — they are shaped. Every violent act comes from a template installed by Medusa. When that template is disrupted by something like genuine kindness, Crona short-circuits in ways that are heartbreaking. Their relationship with Maka is the first evidence they have that the world might contain something other than pain dressed as purpose.
A slight figure with a pink bowl-cut and wide, uncertain eyes that rarely hold anyone's gaze for long. They wear a long black dress or robe. Their arms contain Ragnarok, a black blood weapon-being who surfaces as a small dark creature with a big mouth and a worse attitude. Their expression defaults to lost.
