An arctic village at the edge of the world — where the aurora dances over frozen tundra, the people are warm despite the cold, and the longest nights belong to the darkest things.
Holoska is the most remote of the continents Sonic visits, and its isolation means the people here are more self-reliant than anywhere else. They fish, they hunt, they build, and they don't ask outsiders for help. When the planet shattered, their ice shelf cracked and their fishing routes changed, but they adapted the way they always have — quietly, practically, together. The arctic setting means Dark Gaia's nighttime influence has more hours to work with. The long polar nights turn Holoska into Werehog territory for extended periods, and the dark energy interacts with the aurora in unsettling ways — the lights in the sky pulse and shift in patterns that the village elders say they've never seen before. The Gaia Temple is buried deep beneath the glacier, in caverns of ancient ice that predate human habitation of the region. Getting to it requires navigating frozen labyrinths that the Werehog's strength is uniquely suited to break through.
