Hwang Dongsuk is a C-Rank hunter who ran a mining operation inside dungeons, using low-rank hunters as expendable labor and killing them for their share of the loot. He targeted Jinwoo's party, planning to murder them inside a gate where there would be no witnesses. It was the wrong call. Jinwoo killed his team in self-defense, extracted some as shadow soldiers, and Hwang Dongsuk became an early example of what happens to people who underestimate the former E-Rank.
