Cinderella is part of Fiona's princess ensemble in Far Far Away — the group that includes Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Rapunzel. She initially presents as the classic passive princess: beautiful, demure, waiting for things to happen to her. Then Charming imprisons them and she participates in the commando-style breakout led by Fiona and Lillian. Her personality in the Shrek franchise is a gentle parody of her fairy tale source: she does all the things princesses do (curtsey, wave, attend galas) while existing in a world that's moved past needing princesses to do only those things. She's Doris's stepsister, which creates the franchise's funniest family dynamic.
