The Scandinavia-inspired ice nation that hunts Grisha as abominations — home to the drüskelle, the Ice Court, and a culture that believes magic is a sin punishable by fire.
Fjerda is the Grishaverse's antagonist nation — a culture that views Grisha as witches to be burned. The drüskelle are their holy soldiers, trained at the Ice Court to hunt and kill Grisha. Under Jarl Brum, Fjerda pushed to weaponize jurda parem, turning from killing Grisha to controlling them. Fjerda's hypocrisy is a running theme: they condemn Grisha magic while using suspected Fabrikator-assisted technology (engines, tanks, steel aircraft). Their culture is rigid, patriarchal, and deeply religious — worshipping Djel, the god of the earth.
Mountainous, icy, forbidding. Capital: Djerholm. The Elbjen range and northern seas define the geography. The population is predominantly pale, blonde, blue-eyed, with strict gender roles and courtship culture. Architecture is heavy stone and wood built to survive brutal winters.
