Ravka's all-Grisha military force — founded by the Darkling as a sanctuary, headquartered at the Little Palace, and the reason Grisha in Ravka serve rather than hide.

The Second Army is Ravka's Grisha military — every Grisha in the nation is drafted into service. Founded by the Darkling centuries ago, it was initially a genuine sanctuary: a place where Grisha could practice their abilities openly and serve the crown rather than be persecuted. The Little Palace was built as their home. Over time, it became a gilded cage. Grisha served the Darkling's agenda more than Ravka's interests, and the First Army (non-Grisha) resented them. After the Darkling's fall, the Second Army was reformed under the Grisha Triumvirate (Zoya, Genya, David/Leoni), with King Nikolai abolishing mandatory Grisha draft.

Appearance

Identified by colored kefta: red (Corporalki), blue (Etherealki), purple (Materialki), black (Darkling only). The Second Army operates from the Little Palace in Os Alta.
