Location from Sally Face by Steve Gabry (Portable Moose)
A wooden treehouse overlooking Wendigo Lake — Larry's private refuge, the place he chose to die, and the place where Ash photographed his ghost.
The treehouse is Larry's sanctuary — the place he goes when the apartment feels too close and the darkness feels too near. He built it himself, probably badly, but it holds. In Episode 4, this is where Larry dies. He recognizes the Red-Eyed Demon's influence taking hold and makes the decision to end his life rather than be used against the people he loves. He drinks something lethal, leaves Sal a suicide note at the base of the tree, and dies looking at the lake. Later, Ash visits the treehouse and photographs Larry's ghost — the image that she races to the prison to present as evidence that the supernatural is real. The treehouse goes from being a teenager's hideout to the most emotionally loaded location in the game.
A weathered wooden treehouse built in a large oak near Wendigo Lake. Hand-built with the imprecision of a teenager's construction project — boards don't quite align, nails stick out at angles, but it's sturdy. Inside: a sleeping bag, some drawings, empty bottles, and a view of the lake through gaps in the planking.
