Location from Sally Face by Steve Gabry (Portable Moose)
The local high school where Sal's friend group formed, Travis bullied, Mrs. Packerton taught math, and the cafeteria served bologna that nobody should have eaten.
Nockfell High is where the domestic half of the story plays out — the teenage social dynamics that run parallel to the supernatural investigation. Travis shoves Sal in the hallway and Ash steps between them. Chug and Maple pass notes. Todd quietly builds electronics during study hall. Mrs. Packerton teaches trigonometry to students she's feeding to a cult. The school feels normal in a way that makes the horror worse. These are kids doing kid things — forming friendships, dealing with bullies, eating cafeteria food — and the cafeteria food is made of people. The mundane and the monstrous coexist without any visible seam.
A standard American public high school — brick construction, institutional hallways with lockers, fluorescent lighting, linoleum floors. The cafeteria has long tables and a serving line. Mrs. Packerton's classroom (104) looks like any math class. Nothing about the building's appearance warns of the darkness operating within it.
