Sal and Larry's communication lifeline — the device that connected two kids across five floors of a haunted apartment building before it was cannibalized for a greater purpose.
The walkie-talkie is how Sal and Larry stayed connected before smartphones — Larry in the basement, Sal on the fourth floor, investigating the building's mysteries one floor at a time. It represents their partnership at its simplest: two kids talking to each other through static, trusting each other's voices in the dark. Parts of it were eventually incorporated into Todd's Super Gear Boy upgrade, its communication components repurposed from connecting two friends to connecting the living with the dead.
A standard handheld walkie-talkie, slightly battered from use. Black plastic casing with a stubby antenna and a push-to-talk button worn smooth from Larry's thumb.
