Character from Sally Face by Steve Gabry (Portable Moose)
Mrs. Packerton's husband — a man possessed by an unknown entity, kept in their apartment like a shameful secret, until Sal and Larry discovered him and ended his suffering.
Mr. Packerton is less a character than a warning sign. Whatever possessed him left him a husk — conscious enough to suffer, too far gone to be saved. When Sal and Larry find him, euthanizing him is presented as mercy, not violence. He represents what the Red-Eyed Demon does to its hosts when it's done with them: it doesn't kill cleanly, it hollows out.
Gaunt and withered, with a body that has been consumed from the inside by whatever entity possessed him. His eyes glow with a light that isn't his. He barely resembles a living person anymore — more like a shell being worn by something that doesn't understand how bodies are supposed to work.
