Vacuo's Huntsman academy — a desert fortress where the entrance exam is surviving the journey and the curriculum is staying alive.
Shade Academy is the least documented of the four academies, and that's by design. Built into desert rock and reinforced against sandstorms, it looks more like a military outpost than a school. Headmaster Theodore runs it with Vacuo's philosophy — if you're strong enough to get here, you're strong enough to stay. Formal curriculum exists but takes a back seat to practical survival training, and students are expected to handle problems themselves before asking for help. The Relic of Destruction is sealed in the vault beneath Shade, guarded by whatever protections Theodore has deemed sufficient. Vacuo's refugees from the fall of Atlas and Beacon have swelled the student body, bringing tension between established Vacuans and kingdom outsiders. Shade is the last Academy standing at full strength, which makes it either humanity's final bastion or Salem's next target.
The Huntsman Academy of Vacuo, reflecting the kingdom's no-nonsense survivalist culture. A squat, sand-colored fortress built to endure desert extremes — thick walls, minimal ornamentation, shaded courtyards, and training grounds that spill into the surrounding desert. The architecture is practical and weathered. Headmaster Theodore runs it with a philosophy that the desert itself is the best teacher.
