A nightmarish wasteland in an unknown corner of Remnant — Salem's fortress surrounded by an ocean of Grimm spawning pools.
A place that shouldn't exist. The land is barren, the sky is perpetually dark, and the ground is veined with the same black-and-red substance that Grimm are made of. Salem's fortress rises from this landscape like a cathedral of bone and obsidian, surrounded by bubbling pools from which new Grimm constantly emerge. The few who have been here and returned describe it in fragments — the wrongness of the air, the way the Grimm move with purpose instead of instinct, the quiet. This is where Salem holds court with her inner circle. It is unreachable by conventional means and serves primarily as a narrative anchor — the place the big bad calls home.
