Beacon Tower is the tallest structure in Vale, a slender spire of green-lit architecture that once served as the Cross Continental Transmit System hub linking Vale to the other kingdoms' communication networks. Ozpin's office sat at the top — a clockwork-themed room with gears visible in the walls and a panoramic view of the campus. Below the tower, accessible by a hidden elevator, lay the vault containing the Relic of Choice and the comatose Fall Maiden Amber. During the Fall of Beacon, the tower became the epicenter of catastrophe. Pyrrha fought Cinder at the top and died. Ruby unleashed her silver eyes for the first time, freezing the Wyvern mid-attack. The CCT was destroyed, cutting Vale's long-range communications. Now the tower stands damaged but upright, the frozen Wyvern clinging to its upper levels like a gargoyle, radiating enough negative energy to keep Grimm swarming the campus indefinitely.
