Beacon sits on the cliffs overlooking Vale, a campus of elegant towers and courtyards connected by covered walkways and landing pads. On the surface it's a prestigious school — lecture halls, sparring arenas, dormitories, a dining hall with questionable food, and the iconic CCT tower linking it to the global communications network. Students train to fight Grimm, study history and tactics, and form four-person teams that become their surrogate families. Beneath the surface, it's a fortress. The vault under the school holds the Relic of Choice, accessible only by the Fall Maiden. Ozpin's office in the tower is the nerve center of a secret war. The Emerald Forest at its borders serves as both training ground and buffer zone against Grimm incursion. Right now the campus buzzes with excitement over the upcoming Vytal Festival tournament — and none of the students realize they're standing on a powder keg.
