The sword is sealed in the vault beneath Shade Academy in Vacuo, accessible only by the Summer Maiden, and Headmaster Theodore guards it with whatever resources the most under-funded kingdom can muster. The Relic's power of destruction is the most straightforward and the most terrifying of the four divine gifts. In a world where Salem seeks to collect all Relics to summon the Gods, a weapon capable of absolute destruction in the wrong hands could end civilizations before the Gods even arrive. Its exact limits are unknown — whether it destroys physical objects, concepts, or something deeper — and that uncertainty is itself a kind of defense.
