Ember Celica start as a pair of yellow bracelets on Yang's wrists that look almost decorative — until she clenches her fists and they expand into full gauntlets covering her forearms and fists, loaded with shotgun shells that fire on impact. Every punch Yang throws is backed by an explosive shell, turning her brawling style into something that hits like a car crash. The shells eject from ports on the gauntlets' backs with a satisfying brass cascade. The gauntlets are reinforced to absorb and deliver tremendous force, which synergizes with Yang's Semblance — every hit she takes charges her up, and every hit she delivers is amplified by the shotgun mechanism. She can also fire ranged blasts by punching at the air, though her preferred range is close enough to see the look on their face. After losing her right arm at Beacon, she receives a robotic prosthetic from Atlas that integrates with a replacement gauntlet. The new arm hits harder. Yang hits harder with it.
A pair of dual-ranged shotgun gauntlets — gold and orange mechanical bracers that expand from bracelets into full forearm-covering gauntlets with a punch-activated firing mechanism. Each punch chambers and fires a shotgun shell, creating explosive kinetic blasts. The shells glow orange on impact. In retracted mode they appear as simple gold bracelets on Yang's wrists. The right gauntlet was destroyed and later replaced with a prosthetic-integrated version.
