Ruby's mother and leader of the legendary Team STRQ, Summer was a silver-eyed warrior called the greatest Huntress of her generation who left on a mission and never returned.
Summer exists in the story as an absence — the shape of her is defined by the hole she left. Taiyang describes her as the light of Team STRQ, the one who pulled them together after Raven left. Ruby idolizes a woman she barely remembers, building a shrine of memory from secondhand stories and a grave on a cliff. What little is known paints someone who was genuinely good in a way that made hardened Huntsmen believe the world could be better. She took on the most dangerous missions because her Silver Eyes made her uniquely effective against Grimm, and she apparently went after Salem directly — a mission from which she did not return. Whether she is dead or something worse remains one of the series' longest-running mysteries.
Known primarily from Ruby's memories and a single photograph — a young woman in a white hooded cloak identical in style to Ruby's red one. Silver eyes, dark hair, and a kind face. Her white cloak became her defining image, and Ruby's red cloak is a deliberate echo of her mother's legacy.
