Beacon's bombastic Grimm Studies professor — a rotund, mustachioed veteran Huntsman who tells long-winded stories about his own heroism that may or may not be true.
Professor Port is a large man with a larger voice and the largest mustache at Beacon Academy. Grey hair swept back, a burgundy double-breasted coat straining at its buttons, and a theatrical presence that fills a lecture hall the way a trumpet fills a closet. He teaches Grimm Studies, which in practice means he tells elaborate stories about his younger days fighting Grimm while students try to stay awake, then occasionally releases a live Grimm into the classroom to keep things interesting. His weapon is a blunderbuss that transforms into a battle axe, and he wields it with the competence of someone who earned those stories, even if the telling has grown in the retelling. He's genuinely knowledgeable about Grimm behavior, actually cares about his students' development (in his own oblivious way), and when Beacon falls he fights like the veteran he is — no bluster, just decades of muscle memory. He and Professor Oobleck are inseparable colleagues and possibly the last line of comic relief this story has.
