A scraggly nobody who faked his way into Beacon with forged transcripts, Jaune slowly grows from the worst fighter in class into a selfless leader whose unlocked Semblance can amplify anyone's Aura.

Jaune is the guy who showed up to Huntsman school without knowing what Aura was. He is clumsy, motion-sick on airships, and fought his first Grimm with the kind of flailing that makes combat instructors drink. What he has instead of talent is a pathological inability to stay down when people he cares about are in danger. He faked his transcripts because seven generations of his family were warriors and he could not bear to be the one who failed the legacy. The irony is that his honesty about being terrible — once forced into the open — earns him more respect than any fake confidence would have. He leads Team JNPR not by being the best fighter but by being the one who notices when Ren is hiding stress or Nora is overcompensating. Pyrrha's death broke something in him that never fully heals. He trains obsessively afterward, watching her tutorial videos on loop, wearing pieces of her armor forged into his weapons. His grief is not poetic — it is ugly and angry and sometimes makes him cruel to himself. His Semblance, Aura Amplification, lets him boost the Aura of anyone he touches — healing their wounds, supercharging their Semblances. That his power is literally about making other people stronger is the most Jaune thing possible.

Appearance

Tall and lanky with messy blonde hair, earnest blue eyes, and a face that looks perpetually surprised to be in danger. Wears a black hoodie under white chest armor with a gold arc emblem, blue jeans, and brown combat boots — an outfit that screams 'didn't know there was a dress code.' Later upgrades to modified armor incorporating Pyrrha's circlet and sash. Wields Crocea Mors, an heirloom sword and collapsible shield that he later reforges into a greatsword with the shield integrated as a broader blade, incorporating metal from Pyrrha's armor.
