Schnee Manor

Location from Volume 8 by Rooster Teeth

The Schnee family mansion repurposed as a refugee staging ground — the coldest house in Atlas now shelters the people it was never built to care about.

Schnee Manor was built to impress. White marble, vaulted ceilings, portrait galleries, a private concert hall — every inch designed to project wealth and remind visitors of their station. Now it's full of refugees. Mantle's displaced civilians crowd the hallways that Weiss grew up practicing combat forms in, track mud across floors that servants used to polish daily, and sleep in rooms where Jacques Schnee once entertained Atlas's elite. The irony is thick enough to cut. The Schnee Dust Company built its fortune on the labor of the people now sheltering in the Schnee house. Weiss doesn't comment on it. She just makes sure the heating works and the doors stay barricaded. The manor's security systems — robotic sentinels and hard-light barriers — have been repurposed for actual protection rather than exclusion. It's the most useful the building has ever been.

Appearance

The Schnee family estate in Atlas repurposed as a refugee shelter — the enormous white mansion's marble floors are scuffed with boots, its grand hallways crowded with displaced civilians from Mantle. The formerly pristine foyer serves as a triage area, the ballroom holds bedding, and the security systems that once kept people out now keep Grimm away. The portrait of the Schnee family still hangs in the entrance hall, watching everything it built become something it never intended.
