Ruby Rose's weapon — a high-caliber sniper rifle that unfolds into a massive war scythe, custom-built at Signal Academy.
Crescent Rose is Ruby's masterwork — a weapon she designed and built herself as a student at Signal Academy under Qrow's tutelage. In its compact form it's a bolt-action sniper rifle with significant range and stopping power. With a mechanical transformation that Ruby can execute mid-combat without breaking stride, it unfolds into a full war scythe with a blade longer than Ruby is tall, the rifle barrel running along the shaft to allow firing while in melee configuration. Ruby uses the recoil as a propulsion system — firing the rifle to boost her speed, launch herself into the air, or add momentum to her scythe swings. Combined with her Petal Burst Semblance, Crescent Rose becomes an extension of her movement philosophy: forward, always forward, as fast as possible. The weapon is crimson and black steel, well-maintained with the obsessive care of someone who considers weapon maintenance a form of meditation.
