Nora Valkyrie

Character from Volume 8 by Rooster Teeth

The girl who runs on lightning took too much of it — Nora is injured, scarred, and fighting to figure out who she is when she can't swing a hammer.

Nora absorbed too much electricity trying to break through a barrier and it nearly killed her. The Aura scarring marks her like lightning-shaped tattoos, and for the first time in her life she's forced to stop. To be still. To think about who Nora Valkyrie is when she's not swinging a hammer or being Ren's other half. She stays behind in Atlas to protect civilians when the final evacuation begins. Not because she wants to — every instinct screams to charge into the fight — but because she is finally learning that being strong doesn't always mean hitting things. Her arc in Volume 8 is about identity: she came from nothing, defined herself through Ren and through violence, and now both of those things are being stripped away. What's left underneath is someone brave enough to sit with the pain instead of drowning it in thunder. She and Ren have finally acknowledged what everyone else always knew. Not 'together-together' is over. They're together. And the first thing they do as an actual couple is fight on opposite sides of a war, which is extremely on brand.

Appearance

Compact and muscular with short orange hair, bright turquoise eyes, and — new — lightning-shaped Aura scars tracing across her arms and face like branching white lines. Wears a white sleeveless top with a heart cutout at the chest under a pink skirt with white trim, pink fingerless gloves, and white-pink boots. A pink lightning bolt emblem on her back. Wields Magnhild, a massive war hammer that compacts into a grenade launcher, though she's currently too injured to use it at full power.
