Character from Volume 8 by Rooster Teeth
The foot soldiers of Salem's army — wolf-like Grimm that pour from the whale in hundreds, filling Mantle's streets with darkness and teeth.
Beowolves rain from Monstra's body like black snow. They are the bulk of Salem's ground force — pack hunters, fast, coordinated enough to overwhelm through numbers, and drawn to the fear that fills every street in Mantle. Young ones charge mindlessly. Older ones wait, circle, let the screaming do their work for them. In the chaos of Atlas under siege, Beowolves are everywhere — in the alleys of Mantle, at the barricades, climbing walls, and dying in waves that seem endless because they are. More crawl from the whale to replace every one that falls. They are cannon fodder and they are terrifying because even cannon fodder can kill you if there's enough of it. Huntsmen and soldiers can cut through dozens and the next dozen is already there. The Grimm don't tire, don't fear, don't negotiate. They dissolve into black smoke when killed and more take their place. This is what Salem has always been — not a single monster, but an ocean of them.
A wolf-like Grimm standing on powerful digitigrade hind legs, roughly seven feet tall. Jet-black fur-like hide over a muscular frame, with bony white armor plates along the spine and shoulders, and a bone-white skull mask with glowing red eyes and red tribal markings. Long clawed forelimbs, rows of jagged teeth. They pour from Salem's whale Grimm in endless waves, filling the streets of Mantle with darkness.
