The Land of Darkness exists beyond the boundaries of civilization, a place where the terrain itself is corrupted. Black pools bubble with new Grimm gestating in liquid shadow. Crystalline structures of dark purple rise from the ground like frozen lightning. Salem's castle sits at the center — a gothic fortress of black stone where her lieutenants receive their orders. From here, Salem dispatches Watts and Tyrian to Atlas. From here, she prepares the army and the whale-Grimm that will herald her arrival. The land is less a location and more an extension of Salem's will — the Grimm that spawn from its pools obey her absolutely.
