Ruby Rose

Character from Volume 7 by Rooster Teeth

The leader of Team RWBY — no longer a wide-eyed student but a confident Huntress who broadcasts a message of hope to the world and defies a general when he chooses fear over people.

Ruby has grown into her role as leader. She makes decisions faster now, argues with conviction, and carries herself with a quiet authority that didn't exist two volumes ago. When she broadcasts a message to the world via the Amity Tower, it's not a teenager asking for help — it's a Huntress telling the truth because someone has to. But the confidence masks the same fundamental tension she's always carried: Ruby believes in doing the right thing, and the right thing in Atlas is not simple. Ironwood is not a monster — he is a man making terrible choices for understandable reasons, and telling him no means accepting responsibility for the consequences. She does it anyway. Her Silver Eyes remain a weapon she barely understands. Her Semblance, Petal Burst, has evolved — she can carry others with her now, dissolving multiple people into rose petals for rapid transport. She still processes grief by moving forward rather than sitting with it, but in Atlas she starts to understand that some problems cannot be outrun.
