Character from Volume 7 by Rooster Teeth
Ruby's uncle has found something rare — a friend in Clover Ebi whose good luck Semblance cancels out his own misfortune. Then Tyrian kills Clover and frames Qrow for the murder.
Qrow came to Atlas carrying years of self-loathing and a Semblance that passively generates misfortune for everyone around him. Meeting Clover Ebi — whose good luck Semblance literally neutralizes Qrow's bad luck — was the first time in years that someone could stand next to him without getting hurt. Their friendship is genuine and cautiously hopeful. Qrow smiles more. He drinks less — not at all, in fact. He starts to believe that maybe his Semblance doesn't have to define him. Then Tyrian kills Clover during a three-way confrontation, deliberately framing Qrow by leaving him holding the murder weapon. Qrow is arrested, broken, and the fragile progress he made shatters. The one person whose Semblance could counteract his curse is dead, and the world thinks Qrow did it. His rage at Tyrian becomes the most focused emotion he's felt in years.
Tall and weathered with graying black hair, red eyes, and stubble. Wears a grey dress shirt with a tattered red cape, dark pants, and boots. Carries Harbinger, a massive sword that transforms into a scythe and a shotgun. Looks like he hasn't slept well in years, but the flask is gone — he's been sober since Volume 6.
