Character from Volume 7 by Rooster Teeth
The most common Grimm — wolf-like creatures of shadow and bone that attack in packs, drawn to negative emotion and serving as the constant background threat of life in Mantle.
Beowolves are the foot soldiers of the Grimm. Black-furred wolf creatures with white bone masks, red eyes, and bony spines along their backs. They hunt in packs, are drawn to negative emotions like fear and anger, and are the Grimm that most civilians will encounter in their lives. In Mantle, Beowolf attacks are a regular occurrence — the city's damaged outer wall and the population's growing fear and resentment create a feedback loop that draws more Grimm. They are individually manageable for trained Huntsmen but dangerous in numbers, and Mantle's numbers are growing.
