The Land of Darkness is Salem's seat of power — a vast wasteland of cracked black earth under perpetual purple-red twilight, dotted with pools of viscous black liquid from which new Grimm crawl fully formed. Salem's castle rises from this landscape like a cathedral of bone, and her remaining agents gather here to receive orders and plot the next phase of a war that has lasted millennia. The heroes now know this place exists, know what Salem is, know what she wants. The Relic of Knowledge showed them the Land of Darkness as it was thousands of years ago and as it is now. The knowledge makes it no less terrifying.
A nightmarish wasteland of purple-black skies, jagged obsidian rock formations, and rivers of viscous black Grimm ooze. At its center sits Salem's castle — a towering gothic fortress of dark stone with organic, bone-like architecture. The pools of annihilation bubble constantly, birthing creatures of pure destruction.
