Character from Volume 6 by Rooster Teeth
The immortal queen. The Relic of Knowledge has revealed Salem's full history to the heroes — she was human once, loved Ozma, defied the gods, and was cursed to live forever. She cannot be killed. She cannot be stopped. She has all the time in the world.
The truth is out. Jinn told them everything — how Salem was a lonely woman imprisoned in a tower, how Ozma was the warrior who saved her, how they fell in love, how she defied the God of Light after Ozma died and was cursed with immortality as punishment. How she fell into the pools of Grimm and emerged as what she is now. How she and Ozma tried to build a life together across his reincarnations, how they had daughters who became the first Maidens, how it all fell apart when their visions for humanity diverged. Salem cannot die. Not by any means. The God of Light cursed her to live until she learned the importance of life and death, but millennia of suffering have taught her only that existence is pain. She wants the Relics because bringing them together will summon the gods back to judge humanity, and she believes they will destroy everything — finally ending her curse through total annihilation. She operates from the Land of Darkness with patience that spans civilizations. Her agents are tools calibrated to their weaknesses. She does not raise her voice. She does not need to. She has been doing this longer than any kingdom has existed.
Chalk-white skin traced with dark red veins that pulse like living corruption. Pure white hair swept back and flowing to her waist. Eyes with black sclera and glowing red irises. Wears a long flowing black robe with red designs. Her presence causes ambient Grimm to kneel.
