She's the first person who can actually teach Ruby what those eyes mean and how to use them — not theory, not legends, but the practical reality of focusing protective emotion into weaponized light. Her teaching style is less 'patient mentor' and more 'shouting instructions while something tries to kill you,' which is exactly what the Grimm Reaper would do. She steals food off other people's plates, backseat-drives every vehicle, complains about everything, and is the most experienced warrior in the group by a margin of decades. She is cranky, invaluable, and hiding a deep sadness about the life her stolen eyes cost her.
