The central kingdom of Remnant — still recovering from the Fall of Beacon, its tower broken and its Huntsman Academy in ruins.
Vale is healing slowly. Beacon Academy remains in ruins, the Wyvern Grimm frozen on its tower by Ruby's Silver Eyes. The kingdom functions but the confidence is gone — the Vytal Festival massacre showed that the kingdoms' defenses can be breached, and Vale has not yet rebuilt what it lost. The CCT tower at Beacon is down, cutting Vale off from the global communication network. The kingdom is referenced rather than visited in Volume 5. It exists as a memory of what was lost and a reminder of what's at stake.
A prosperous coastal kingdom on the continent of Sanus, now marred by the ruins of Beacon Academy visible on the cliffs above. The city below functions but the mood is subdued — the Fall of Beacon changed the kingdom's relationship with the idea of safety.
