The sniper-scythe Ruby designed and built at Signal Academy has crossed the continent of Anima and fought in the Battle of Haven, its mechanisms maintained with obsessive care despite months of field conditions. In storage mode it folds compact for travel. In rifle mode it punches through Grimm bone plate at range. In scythe mode the massive curved blade unfolds, and Ruby's recoil-propulsion technique launches her across battlefields on the kickback. The weapon has accumulated the kind of wear that comes from daily use in hostile territory — minor scratches, replaced springs, refinished grip tape. Ruby maintains it like a partner.
