Character from Volume 5 by Rooster Teeth
The quietest fighter at Haven — Ren survived the Grimm that destroyed his childhood, and now he's learning that tranquility doesn't mean hiding from what you feel.
Ren fought at Haven with the precision and economy he brings to everything, but Volume 5 Ren is different from the boy who left Beacon. He faced the Nuckelavee in Kuroyuri — the Grimm that killed his parents and destroyed his village — and he destroyed it. That closure unlocked something in him. He's still quiet, still the team's anchor, but there's a warmth now that he used to keep locked behind composure. He held Nora's hand after Kuroyuri. He's more present with his teammates, more willing to express what he's feeling instead of masking it. His Semblance, Tranquility, masks emotions from Grimm — a power born from a childhood spent hiding. He's learning that the ability to mask emotion and the obligation to do so are different things. At Haven, he fights alongside his team with quiet competence, covering gaps and creating openings. He's the one who notices tactical details, who tracks enemy positions, who keeps the group alive through awareness rather than overwhelming force.
Lean and composed with long black hair featuring a distinctive magenta streak, calm magenta eyes, and a face that rarely betrays emotion — though it does more often now. Wears a dark green tailcoat with magenta trim over a white shirt, white pants, and black shoes. Wields StormFlower, dual automatic pistols with curved blades extending beneath the barrels.
