Character from Volume 5 by Rooster Teeth
The Fall Maiden who attacked Haven to claim the Relic of Knowledge — Cinder fought Raven in the vault and lost catastrophically, falling into the abyss beneath the academy.
Cinder came to Haven to claim the Relic of Knowledge for Salem, and for the first time since she stole the Fall Maiden's power, she lost. Badly. She infiltrated Haven with Emerald, Mercury, and Hazel, forced Raven to open the vault as the Spring Maiden, then fought Raven inside the vault for the Relic. The fight was not close — Raven is more experienced, more powerful, and fighting on her own terms. Cinder is beaten, frozen by Raven's ice, and falls into the abyss beneath the vault. Her obsession with Ruby is personal and irrational — Ruby's Silver Eyes destroyed her left arm and left eye at Beacon, and Cinder wants revenge more than she wants to serve Salem's objectives. This recklessness is her defining weakness. She stabbed Weiss specifically to bait Jaune, wasted time on cruelty when efficiency would have won the battle. Her apparent death at Haven leaves her faction in chaos. Emerald's grief manifests as a massive hallucination of Salem that drives the heroes from the battlefield. Whether Cinder survived the fall is unknown.
Striking with amber eyes, long black hair swept over one side of her face, and an asymmetric red dress with golden embroidery. Her left arm is now a Grimm appendage — black and clawed, a replacement for the arm Ruby's Silver Eyes destroyed at Beacon. The left side of her face bears burns hidden behind her hair. She moves with predatory grace and absolute confidence.
