Yang is not okay, and for the first time in her life she can't pretend otherwise. She lost her arm to Adam Taurus while trying to save Blake, and Blake ran. The combination of physical trauma, abandonment, and PTSD has left her hollow in a way that scares everyone who knows her. She drops glasses because her brain still sends signals to a hand that isn't there. She has nightmares about Adam's blade. She can't look at the prosthetic arm without remembering why she needs it. Taiyang is trying. He cooks for her, trains with her when she'll allow it, and delivers the lesson she needs to hear — that her fighting style has always been self-destructive, that she relies on taking damage to fuel her Semblance, and that she needs to learn to fight smart instead of fighting angry. It's the most honest parenting he's done in years, and it lands because Yang is finally too broken to deflect it. She eventually puts on the prosthetic. She eventually starts training again. She eventually decides to stop waiting and start moving. But the Yang who leaves Patch is different from the one who fell at Beacon — more careful, more aware of what she can lose, and carrying a quiet fury toward Adam that she knows is dangerous. Her Semblance, Burn, absorbs kinetic energy from every hit and converts it into greater striking power. Taiyang's lesson: stop treating that as a strategy.

Appearance

Tall and athletic with wild golden-blonde hair that falls past her waist. Lilac eyes that shift to burning red when her temper flares, though the fire comes less easily now. Wears casual clothes on Patch — a brown jacket, orange tank top, and loose pants. Her right arm is gone below the elbow, replaced by a sleek black-and-gold Atlas prosthetic that arrived in a case from Ironwood. She's still learning to use it. Wields a single Ember Celica on her left arm — the right gauntlet was lost with the arm.
