Sun followed Blake to Menagerie because that's what Sun does — he sees someone running from their problems and runs alongside them until they get tired of running. He stowed away on a ship, showed up on her doorstep, and refused to leave despite Blake's best efforts to push him away. He doesn't understand why Blake keeps trying to handle everything alone, and his inability to take a hint is either his worst quality or his best one, depending on the moment. He's a monkey Faunus who wears his tail openly, has never hidden what he is, and genuinely cannot relate to Blake's instinct to flee — where she runs from danger to protect others, Sun runs toward it because someone might need help. On Menagerie, he's out of his element but adapting. He watches Blake's back when the White Fang gets too close, gets along with her parents with alarming ease, and keeps pushing her toward the uncomfortable truth that she can't fix things by hiding. His Semblance, Via Sun, creates golden light clones he can direct to attack or distract.
