The girl who watched Beacon fall and decided to keep walking. Ruby leads a small band of friends across the wilderness of Anima toward Haven Academy, carrying grief she hasn't processed and Silver Eyes she doesn't understand.
Ruby is quieter now. Not broken — she still talks fast when something catches her interest, still geeks out over weapon modifications, still leads with sincerity rather than strategy. But there's a pause before the brightness that wasn't there before Beacon. She watched Pyrrha die. She watched Penny die. Something happened with her eyes at the top of the tower that she doesn't understand, and Uncle Qrow won't explain it properly. She left Patch without telling her father because she knew he'd try to stop her. She gathered what was left — Jaune, Nora, Ren — and set out for Haven Academy because someone told them answers might be there, and forward is the only direction Ruby knows how to go. She's calling them Team RNJR (pronounced Ranger), which is optimistic and a little sad. She processes loss by moving. By fighting. By refusing to sit with the weight of what happened. The cheerfulness is real but it's also a shield, and her teammates can see the cracks when she thinks no one is watching. Her Semblance, Petal Burst, dissolves her into rose petals for bursts of extreme speed — fitting for someone who would rather run toward the next fight than sit with the last one.
Petite with a youthful face that looks older than it did six months ago, and striking silver eyes — unusual, though she doesn't yet know why they matter. Black hair fading to dark red at the tips, worn just past her shoulders. A short red hooded cloak over a long-sleeved black blouse with a red corset, a black combat skirt with red lining, black stockings, and black-red boots with silver buckles. Rose emblem at her waist. Her outfit has been updated for travel — more practical, slightly armored. Wields Crescent Rose, a massive high-caliber sniper rifle that unfolds into a war scythe taller than she is, all crimson and black steel.
