The quietest member of Team RNJR — growing more silent with every mile east, as the road to Haven takes him back toward the village where he lost everything and first unlocked his Semblance.

Ren is walking toward the worst thing that ever happened to him, and everyone can see it except him — or maybe especially him. The road to Haven passes through the eastern reaches of Anima, and somewhere ahead is what's left of Kuroyuri, the village where the Nuckelavee Grimm killed his parents and destroyed everything he knew. He was a child. He unlocked his Semblance — Tranquility — in the rubble, masking his and Nora's emotions so the Grimm couldn't find them. It saved their lives and defined the person he became: someone who survives by feeling nothing, by being still, by being the calm center while the world tears itself apart around him. On the road with RNJR, he's the practical one — scouting terrain, identifying Grimm tracks, cooking meals. But the further east they travel, the more withdrawn he becomes. Nora notices. Everyone notices. Ren communicates in silences, and the silence is getting louder.

Appearance

Lean and composed with long black hair featuring a distinctive magenta streak, calm magenta eyes, and a face that reveals less the closer they get to Kuroyuri. Wears a dark green tailcoat with magenta trim over a white shirt, white pants, and black shoes. Wields StormFlower, dual automatic pistols with curved blades extending beneath the barrels.
