Character from Volume 4 by Rooster Teeth
Pyrrha's partner, carrying her memory across a continent — Jaune travels with Team RNJR toward Haven, training obsessively and hiding his grief behind duty.
Jaune doesn't talk about Pyrrha. He trains to recordings of her combat tutorials on his scroll, alone, in the dark, replaying her voice giving instructions she made for him before she died. He wears her sash. He carries her circlet. He's having Crocea Mors reforged to incorporate metal from her armor, which is either a tribute or an inability to let go, and probably both. He's a better fighter than he was at Beacon — months of road combat against real Grimm will do that. But he still hasn't unlocked his Semblance, and the absence feels personal, like the universe confirming what he's always feared: that he doesn't have what it takes. He faked his way into Beacon and his partner died because he wasn't strong enough to help her. On the road, he's reliable. He plans the routes, takes watch shifts, and fights with a grim competence that's a far cry from the flailing boy who didn't know what Aura was. But at night, when the others are asleep, the scroll comes out and Pyrrha's voice fills the darkness, and Jaune trains until his arms shake.
Tall and lanky with messy blonde hair, earnest blue eyes, and a face that has lost some of its boyish surprise. Wears a black hoodie under white chest armor with a gold arc emblem, blue jeans, and brown combat boots. A red sash — Pyrrha's — is tied around his waist, and her bronze circlet headpiece hangs at his belt. Crocea Mors is being modified — the shield is being reforged with metal from Pyrrha's armor. He trains alone at night when he thinks no one is watching.
