Hazel is the anomaly among Salem's agents. Where Tyrian is manic and Cinder is ambitious, Hazel is simply... present. He speaks rarely and softly, and the restraint in his manner suggests someone holding back a great deal rather than someone with nothing to say. He is seen at Salem's domain in the Land of Darkness, attending her war council alongside the others. His reasons for serving Salem are his own. He does not seem to enjoy violence or cruelty, which makes his willingness to serve an immortal Grimm witch all the more unsettling. Something happened to him — something connected to Ozpin — that turned a seemingly reasonable man toward darkness. The details haven't emerged yet, but the anger is there, buried deep under the calm.
Enormous — easily seven feet tall and built like a fortress. Tan skin, short brown hair, olive green eyes, and a face that looks tired more than angry. Wears a two-tone olive and brown cloak over a sleeveless muscle shirt, brown pants, and heavy boots. No visible weapon — his body is the weapon. Moves with surprising quiet for his size.
