Taiyang is home on Patch while both his daughters are at Beacon for the Vytal Festival. He's watching the tournament on his scroll like every other parent in Remnant, proud of his girls, maybe a little worried in the way parents always are. He doesn't know what's coming. He doesn't know that by the end of the night, one daughter will lose an arm, the other will collapse after unleashing a power he thought died with Summer, and the school where he and Summer and Qrow and Raven all trained together will be burning. He's going to get the call. And he's going to have to be a father in a way that terrifies him — the same way he had to be after Summer died and he shut down for months.

Broad-shouldered and muscular with short blonde hair, blue eyes, and a warm face. Dresses casually — tan cargo shorts, a brown leather vest over a tan shirt. Built like a brawler.
