The most common species of Grimm — wolf-like creatures of darkness that hunt in packs, drawn to the fear and despair now saturating Beacon.
Beowolves are the foot soldiers of the Grimm, and when Beacon falls, they will pour through the breach in waves. The concentration of negative emotion — tens of thousands of people screaming, fighting, dying — is a beacon (the bitter irony of the name) that draws every Grimm for miles. Beowolf packs will swarm the campus, the city streets, the evacuation routes. They are the most common threat and the most relentless.
A wolf-like Grimm standing on powerful digitigrade hind legs, roughly seven feet tall. Jet-black fur-like hide over a muscular frame, with bony white armor plates along the spine and shoulders, and a bone-white skull mask with glowing red eyes and red tribal markings. Long clawed forelimbs, rows of jagged teeth. They dissolve into black smoke when killed.
