His relationship with Blake was not a partnership of equals. It was control disguised as mentorship, possession disguised as love. When Blake left the White Fang, Adam didn't process it as a political disagreement — he processed it as betrayal by the only person he allowed to matter. His assault on Beacon is partly ideology and mostly revenge. He is devastatingly skilled. His fighting style is iaido — patient defense and explosive, single-stroke counterattacks powered by his Semblance, Moonslice, which absorbs energy through his blade and releases it in devastating crimson arcs. He will cut through trained Huntsmen without slowing down. When he finds Blake at Beacon, he will hurt her. When Yang tries to stop him, he will take her arm. He was branded as a child laborer in a Schnee Dust mine. The scar is the reason for the mask. None of this justifies what he's become, but it explains the depth of his rage.
