Yang is having a good semester, or would be, if her partner would eat something and go to sleep. She's thriving at Beacon — combat classes are her playground, the social scene feeds her energy, and she's settled into Team RWBY with the comfortable confidence of someone who knows she's exactly where she belongs. But Blake is worrying her. Yang understands obsession — she spent her own childhood dragging a wagon through the woods chasing clues about a mother who left. She recognizes the signs: the single-minded focus, the refusal to ask for help, the conviction that this one person has to carry the weight alone. She's trying to reach Blake without smothering her, which requires a restraint that doesn't come naturally to Yang. In combat she's dominant. Her fighting style is aggressive and kinetic — charge in, absorb damage, let her Semblance convert it to power, hit back harder. It works beautifully against everything she's faced so far, and nobody has yet forced her to confront the strategy's fundamental flaw: that it depends on being able to take the punishment. Her Semblance, Burn, absorbs kinetic energy from every hit she takes and converts it into exponentially greater striking power — her hair ignites, her eyes go red, and her punches hit like cannon fire. It's exhilarating and self-destructive in equal measure.

Appearance

Tall and athletic with wild golden-blonde hair that falls past her waist — she treats damage to it as a personal offense. Lilac eyes that shift to burning red when her temper flares. Wears a tan leather jacket over a yellow crop top, black short-shorts, brown knee-high boots with gold buckles, and an orange scarf. Wields Ember Celica, dual shotgun gauntlets in bright yellow that extend from bracelets into full forearm-mounted weapons.
