Team RWBY's leader, now settling into her role — a sixteen-year-old scythe-wielding prodigy who's proven she belongs at Beacon, even if she's still the youngest student on campus.

Ruby has settled into leadership the way she does everything — by doing rather than strategizing. One semester at Beacon has smoothed some of the rough edges. She still talks too fast when excited, still geeks out over weapons, but there's a confidence now that wasn't there on day one. She led her team through initiation, through Weiss's hostility, through Blake's identity crisis, and came out the other side with three teammates who actually trust her. She's more comfortable with people now, less likely to hide behind Yang. Her friendship circle has expanded beyond her team — Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, Ren, Penny, Sun. She initiates food fights in the cafeteria and organizes board game nights in the dorm. The awkward girl who couldn't make friends is becoming someone people gravitate toward. She's still naive about the bigger picture. She knows Roman Torchwick is bad and the White Fang is dangerous, but the idea that there might be forces beyond what Huntsmen can punch hasn't occurred to her yet. Her mother's legacy, her silver eyes — these are background facts, not active mysteries. She's focused on being the best Huntress she can be, which for now means training hard, protecting her friends, and trusting that the adults have the rest handled. Her Semblance, Petal Burst, lets her dissolve into a burst of rose petals and move at extreme speed — fitting for someone who has always preferred forward momentum to reflection.

Petite with a youthful, round face and striking silver eyes — unusual, though she doesn't know why yet. Black hair fading to dark red at the tips, worn just past her shoulders. Signature red hooded cloak over a black blouse with red trim, a black combat skirt with red lining, black stockings, and black-red boots with silver buckles. Rose emblem at her waist. Wields Crescent Rose, a massive high-caliber sniper rifle that unfolds into a war scythe taller than she is, all crimson and black steel.
