Emerald is the best liar of the three infiltrators because she actually tries to be likable. She smiles at the right moments, compliments people convincingly, and plays the role of friendly exchange student well enough that some Beacon students genuinely enjoy her company. The deception comes naturally to a former street thief who survived by reading people and telling them what they wanted to hear. Her Semblance is Hallucination — she can make one person (with concentration, two) see and hear things that aren't there. The applications for sabotage and manipulation are enormous, and Cinder uses this power as a precision tool. Emerald follows Cinder with desperate loyalty — Cinder pulled her off the streets, gave her purpose, and Emerald would do anything to keep that approval. She is the most conflicted of the three infiltrators, capable of genuine empathy that she suppresses in service of Cinder's mission.
Dark brown skin, vivid red eyes, and mint-green hair pulled into twin tails. Wears the Haven Academy exchange student outfit, with a more relaxed demeanor than Mercury. Carries twin revolvers that extend into sickle blades — kusarigama style weapons that she wields with practiced ease.
